Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella was born as a Dominican friars’ convent in Florence, Italy in 1221. Since then, we select nature’s finest ingredients to give life to authentic, beauty-seeking routines for the home and the body.
Come to any of our stores or shop online our newest Eau de Parfums, Eau de Colognes, soaps, candles and skincare and bath products. The historical location, of Via Della Scala 16, Florence and also the very first operational site for the Maison, it is today a boutique museum where history brings alive the magic with care, savoir-faire, elegance and we are committed to preserve, and evolve, a heritage like no other.

The customer service was amazing! To be honest, I had a negative impression of this brand because I had such a bad impression of the staff at the old Umeda Daimaru store. When they opened on the floor above Umehan around pre-COVID-19, I wasn't interested, as they didn't seem as motivated or knowledgeable as Umehan. However, I don't know when the current staff joined, but they've transformed into a wonderful store, friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to let you try scents without being pushy! And the prices of the perfumes, which I can't remember whether I thought were expensive or assumed were too high 10 years ago, now seem reasonable (lol). It's a shame that you only get one sample in-store when you get two online. I sometimes think it would be better to buy online, but it's a great store with such a great atmosphere that makes you want to buy from them even if it means losing out! If you're stuck with past impressions like me, I highly recommend you go.

I was assisted by a male store clerk, who was very pleasant to deal with. I only dropped in and didn't have much time, so I wasn't able to make any purchases, but I'll definitely be back to shop in the near future.

I've always wanted to go to Santa Novella at Hankyu Department Store. It's not on the second floor cosmetics section, but on the seventh floor cosmetics section. Many people know Santa Novella for its rose water, but the rose scent is amazing. I've become a fan! They kindly told me about various products, such as rose body cream, perfumed bath salts, and soap. The rose body cream had a lovely scent, wasn't sticky, and spread easily. This time, although it was a bit pricey, I bought a set of about five products from Santa Novella, including rose water and body cream!
